Österreich MotoGP 2021Camping - 4 people

We had ‘3 corner’ tickets for the Friday-Saturday-Sunday. We drove from Munich to our Hotel in Graz on Friday, so didn’t make it to the circuit. As with most races, it’s an early start to get to the circuit. We arrived on Saturday at 7am, Sunday at 6.30am. It was approx one hour drive (car), from Graz. Easy drive. Only obstacle is the Gleinalm Tunnel between Graz and Spielberg. It’s a toll of €9 each way. One tunnel bore is closed this year, so traffic was moving but heavy on Sunday return. Pointless pre-paying the toll. You can’t use the auto-lane, just join the queue as you would when paying by card / cash. At the circuit we were directed to car park 11, about 15mins walk from the circuit entrance, across fields and over a temporary pedestrian bridge (stairs), across the highway. There was no allocated parking depending on your ticket colour etc, the police just directed everybody to the one car park. The viewing from the start line grandstand was good on Saturday, we were in row 2, next to the track. We were given earplugs at a circuit info kiosk, and boy do you need them! The Rossi stand on Sunday provided a fantastic view. It’s usually the ‘Red Bull tribune’, and is still signposted as such. Another long flight of concrete stairs to reach the plateau, then through the Motorbike City of stalls and outlets, continuing on to the Rossi stands. There were food / drink outlets close by and maintained toilet blocks. The circuit now uses a cashless payment system for food / drink. You purchase a credit card from a kiosk and add cash as required. When leaving, you just reverse the procedure and get any cash on the card, returned. It’s all explained on the Red Bull Ring app. Getting out of the circuit was easy. Marshalls and police at all pinch points. Overall a great weekend, great viewing, great racing, wonderful vistas. I’d certainly do it all again.
