Working with Charities

At Motorsport Tickets, we believe that one of the best things about sport is its powerful potential for bringing people together.

Motorsport is a community and for that reason, we’ve chosen to partner with four inspirational charities, sharing stories of their fantastic work as well as providing opportunities for our customers to donate when booking.

Every time you book with us, you’ll be given the opportunity to donate to our charity fund. This will be split between the four charities, which you can read more about their work below.

We are hugely grateful to Motorsports Tickets for selecting us as a charitable partner. With their support, your purchase helps those affected by military operation Race, Retrain, Recover and to enjoy a fulfilling, purposeful and successful life outside of the Military.

JAMES CAMERON
CEO & Founder

Launched in March 2012 to help those affected by military operations by engagement through sport, the charity recognises the astonishing inspirational and healing potential of sport. Motorsport is unique in that the disabled compete against the able bodied on a level playing field. Engineering allows us to adapt the vehicle, not the sport and engages those harder to reach whilst connecting them with opportunities for second careers, beyond the military.

The Forces' Motorsport Charity, whose motto is “Race Retrain Recover” is MoD's competent authority for motor sport as a recovery activity and is a Royal Foundation and Endeavour Fund supported initiative. As a member of the Confederation of Service Charities, Mission Motorsport has an award winning collaborative model of working with government and the other service charities.

Mission Motorsport's Training Wing delivers a range of qualifications enabling service leavers to bridge the gap between military service and careers as civilians, beyond injury. The charity has placed more than 200 Wounded, Injured and Sick service leavers and over 2,000 veterans into employment through the charity’s programs.

I’ve always believed that you should never, ever give up and you should always keep fighting even when there’s only a slightest chance.

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER
7 times F1 World Champion

The Keep Fighting Foundation is a registered charity celebrating the attitudes of “Keep Fighting” and “Never give up” which are directly inspired by F1 legend Michael Schumacher. His achievements on the racing track are undoubtedly unique, but Michael is also acknowledged by his achievements off the track. Over many years, he has actively supported many charitable causes.

The Keep Fighting Foundation is aiming at continuing Michael’s charitable work in areas he always had focus, including road safety awareness, neuroscience, neurological research and innovation in the field of head protection.

The Keep Fighting Initiative was initiated by the Schumacher family after Michael’s accident as a sign of respect and gratitude to Michael’s fans.

The beneficiaries of the Keep Fighting Foundation include culture, education and development, science and public health, pursued through a range of projects developed both internally and through partnerships, or by way of direct support of other aligned groups.

We are delighted to be working with Motorsports Tickets. This partnership will see us take part together on a series of great events all about driving increasing awareness of Learning Disabilities.

HELENE WILLIAMS
Fundraising Manager

The halow project supports young adults (aged 16+) with a learning disability in and around Surrey.

It all begin with Harriet, Amber, Laura, Oliver and William. These young people each have a learning disability and together they were the inspiration of our charity, in fact their initials spell the name halow. Their families were concerned about the children’s prospects and that of other youngster like them and so in 2006 the parents got together with the aim of nurturing young people with disabilities and guiding them towards fulfilled and happy lives. And so the halow project was born.

We are committed to developing creative opportunities and removing social barriers for our young people and currently support over 170 young people with a learning disability. Halow offers a unique blend of activities, giving our young people the chance to enjoy an active social life, make new friends, find further education and employment training through our various initiatives; Building Futures, Social Activities, A Reason To Get Up and the halow Buddy Service.

We're thrilled at having been selected by Motorsport Tickets as their charity partner. We're grateful for their support, making it easy for anyone purchasing tickets to automatically make a contribution and join us in accelerating the Race Against Dementia.

DR. PENNY MOYLE
CEO, Race Against Dementia

A charity founded by Sir Jackie Stewart, who raise and allocate funds to research aimed at finding a prevention or treatment for the disease.

Unless something changes, one in three people born today will get dementia and currently there are no disease - modifying treatments. Yet there is only one dementia researcher to every four cancer researchers. Investment is critically needed.

The Race Against Dementia (RAD) Fellowship Programme draws from the most promising early career scientific talent around the world. Collaboration with forward-thinking Our Charity Partners organisations in Formula One, as well as other innovative bodies, will bring the dynamic attitude, dedication and agility of Grand Prix teamwork to drive results in dementia research. The programme not only accelerates the Fellows’ personal research agendas, but also aspires to catalyse a change in dementia research culture globally.RAD Fellows benefit from mentoring with both high-tech organisations and a global academic network.
