Description

What can I see?

The Oasis or Batelco Grandstand is located just behind the pit building and has a sweeping vista of much of the infield section of the circuit. This is hands down the most panoramic view at Bahrain taking in the action from about turn 6 to turn 12, and even offers a distant view of the straights between turns 3 and 4 on your left and turns 13 and 14 on your right.

What do I get with my ticket?

You will have a reserved seat in the Oasis (Batelco) Grandstand. All 3-Day tickets will have access to the Thursday pit lane walk and autograph sessions, subject to confirmation. Your ticket will also include access to the after-race concerts for each relevant day.

Oasis/Batelco

Good service from BookF1 as usual except weekend timetable was way out - think it must have been in UK time. Oasis/Batelco stand provides good views over much of the back section of the track depending on exactly where you sit but was almost empty Friday and Saturday with plenty of room on Sunday so I could move around and sit where I wanted. It is also above support race/F2 garages so could mingle with them between track action.

Bahrain Grand Prix

The seats were excellent apart been slightly difficult to find as the stand didn’t appear on any of the maps at the track and none of the staff seemed to know were it was once seated the only slight grumble war the advertising board broke your view of the track

Fun at the F1

Overall a good weekend and good race and excitement in the track. The course is brilliant. The fan zone is a bit weak compared to others around the world. The 'fare ground' theme doesn't easily relate to F1 or racing. The hospitality tent was overpriced to get access (which we did) and was disappointing once inside. Stools and tables were uncomfortable and a bit cheap. Being too large it has no atmosphere. The brisket restaurant in there was top notch and the tallented Spanish servers really nice. Lowering the price or making this free and making money on drinks would improve the experiences. The food offering was good but spread out too far and miles away from the stands - it should be closer and mixed into the whole experience. The information, signage and timing was not well shared. It needed to be in more locations so all attendees knew what was going on and when. The fly by was weak. Getting between stands was hard and rules where only one tunnell can be used is extremely annoying - the paying fans should be the priority for getting around and enjoying the event.

Perfect for our F1 long weekend break.

Great weekend. Excellent facilities, entertainment and shuttle service to track from hotels.

Had a great time

The event overall was well organized, and the Batelco stands were a treat. The location of the stands made it so that you could get quite close to the cars and teams during practice. I will attend the event in the upcoming years in Bahrain, but will probably try the (more expensive)Paddock package instead.

Excellent F1 Grand Prix event

Enjoyed attending the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix, 2017. Certainly one of the most amazing circuits I have been to. Well presented, always clean and tidy and family-friendly, with plenty of activities to do between F1 sessions Pit Lane walk on Thursday was worth the trip out to the circuit. Teams practicing pit stops. A privilege to see the Williams team up so close doing their thing, so fast and precise. Max Verstappen even made an appearance in the Red Bull garage The food available was actually better (more choices) than I have seen anywhere else. Buying a ticket for the Gulf Air Hospitality tent was a good decision. Air conditioned with a variety of drinks and food available. A great respite from the heat outside. Even the rest-room was like a 5-star hotel! [16 degrees C] The free shuttle bus service to and from hotel/circuit was efficiently operated, with a BIC representative at each participating hotel. Big thanks to all the drivers and Staff! The free Enrique Iglesias concert on the Saturday night was so exciting and well attended by the massive crowd. My seat in the Batelco (Oasis) Grandstand was a good choice. Block B-II, Row H. Directly opposite the Big Screen. Shade all day, but no food or drink (including water bottles) allowed in the stands! Beware! As always, I would highly recommend bookF1 as your race ticket provider. Essential downloads makes the planning very easy, to visit this spectacular circuit and beautiful, friendly country. Seriously, think about it for next year!

Very Good But Room For Improvement

We were based in a hotel in Aljuffair which was a good location as there was loads of restaurants and other hotels to hang out in. There was a free shuttle bus service from the K Hotel to the circuit every day from 6am-4pm which ran every half hour (not consistent but pretty good). The returning buses were from 4pm-11pm every day (Thursday - Sunday). The security is very strict getting into the circuit (airport like). You cannot bring food or drinks into the circuit and have to go through a metal detector and x-ray machine. We were based in the Betalco stand. There is only one TV for the whole of this stand so I would advise going for a seat in the center if you want to follow the race on the TV. We had a great view were you see the cars to the entire of sector 2. Only issue I had was the lack of facilities near the Betalco stand. There was only shops located in the stand which are good for basics like water, sweets etc. but not good if you want something decent. You are alo not allowed any bottles or cans in the seating area of the stand (crazy I know). We also purchased the VIP Gulf Hospitality package so we could get alcohol and air conditioning for the heat. I spent a long time debating which stand we would sit in considering the temperatures and intense sun. I picked the Betalco because of the great race views and proximity to to the VIP tent. I got the location of the tent from the official Bahrain website map but there was an issue, they did not follow the map when laying out the fan village. Instead of the VIP tent being a 5 minute walk it was a 25-30 minute walk the other end of the start/finish straight (remember this is the longest straight on the F1 calendar). Add this with the short breaks between races and the 40 degrees heat it was a painful walk and we ended up not using as much as we should (and cost). The tent itself was really good with TV's, DJ, bar, food etc. and great air conditioning. If only the tent was in the correct place I would give this event a 100% as the concerts at night were really good and the facilities are awesome (European tracks could learn a thing or 2).

great experience

great weekend, nice view, also helpful monitor in front, but concrete stands like Batelco with roof are multiplying the echo sounds and commentator voice was too loud and unrecognizable...

Bahrain 2010

We had a great time. The circuit wasn't huge so there isn't 1000's of people. Toilets etc are very clean. We had great seats and were placed right in the center where the TV monitor was which was great. Drivers were doing signings so we got our team shirts signed by Lewis and Jenson. Also saw all the world champions up close as there are some quite good points to get near to entrance gates onto the tracks. We stayed in Manama. For a meter cab to the circuit it was 15 (£30) if you get the hotel to take you they charge 30 (£60). We thought most hotel run a shuttle but this isn't the case. We shared a taxi the first day with some others then took a shuttle bus back to our nearest hotel which is free. We then walked. Everyone on the shuttle was doing the same thing and the hotel where the shuttle was going from didn't mind so this is far the cheapest option. Also I wouldn't advise you buy merchandise from there. I brought last years team shirt in the sale for £8.99 from the official site. They had the same shirt there for £50. Most team shirts were 50 to 60. Also buy the Gulf Air tickets if you can. Well worth the money. Its the only place that has aircon and it is like a fridge in there which is nice to get from the heat. Also and the most important bit, its the only place you can get a beer. Dress wise for the ladies didn't seem as strict as we thought. The main trend seemed to be 3/4 length trousers and vest tops. There were ladies in shorts and sundresses but no many. Food and beer wasn't cheap because of the exchange rate. £6 for a beer - £2 for a bag of crisps! Great trip however - well worth the time and money for us on this occasion.

Oasis Batelco Fantastic

What a fantastic track ! we sat in the Oasis Batelco stand and the view and noise from the track was incredible. No problems getting to the track either (unlike Spa) we stayed in Manama and got a cab straight to the track in 20 mins . The cuircuit is also very clean . There is only 1 bar at the track so if you want a beer get ther early and get your wrist band as they only give out 800 wrist bands. Will definatley book with these guys again, fantastic service
