The Laings and Jack do Spa

Overall the package of Bronze tickets is excellent but the circuit seems to look after Silver more i.e. pushing Bronze holders to trade up. There seemed less stand seats for Bronze this year. All this means is get to the circuit earlier which we did and sat in Bronze 4 next to 17-27 stand with the DJ - excellent tunes and beats. Weather was awesome and catering spot on.

Great weekend

Young Person Village does what it says on the tin. Great atmosphere, good facilities and good location. Music is loud and goes on most of the day but this is told to you beforehand so you can’t complain.

Fantastic

It was very amazing to watch the race in live at the track. Its completely worth because on TV, you don't feel everything. You won't recognize halo exits on the cars. And if you go in a group, you will have much better experience. This is my first time watching F1 at the track, and spa circuit provides with very good viewing areas. One thing that wans't interesting is a DJ set in my stand (17-27). I think its un-necessary as it didn't suit the motorsport event. And everyone in my stand are uninterested in the music.

One of the best tracks of the year

Always a fabulous atmosphere, campsite was okay, toilets and shower facilities frankly terrible... organisation and planning by the F1 circus wasn't what I expected - campsite signage was terrible. That said, a good weekend was still had.

Luv & Hate

So many persons, so many opinions,,, Luv : best F1 circuit at this moment. Long distance track with a lot of possible action. Some great views over the course, and there's a lot to see for the "small"fee of a GA ticket. This year the quality of catering has also improved. Pleeeenty of people around so never a dull moment... HATE : for General Admission way too overcrowded ! You have to be there at the crack of down to get a decent spot, after that you can mingle amongst the crowd and suffer some really nasty smells at the end of the weekend. Normal seats are only affordable for the happy few, but this is also valid for 30% of GA so it's like a survival of the fittest or earliest... After surviving the race the real deathtrap begins with leaving these grounds by car.....We have been overtaken by snails whilst trying to leave our place !! Can't really blame the stewards because of their absence, but at least they could have shown some effort to guide this live-stock-human-hurd through the few fences and roades. Frankly we know this will always be a logistic problem over there, but at least they can should give it some attention.....even for wanna-be-french....they will never learn and focus on the "monnaie" and will keep on doing that as long as numbers of spectators (= money) keeps incrasing..... It is about time that good old Bernie will visit this area (soon) again, and I don't mean his ashes....

A little organisation and the event would have been fantastic overall

The experience at Spa was fantastic, shame about the lack of organisation from the stewards that are employed to work at this event. Got lost on the one day, asked numerous studewards for help. No one knew where anything was and sent us in the wrong direction numerous times. Travelling back and forth was a nightmare, crammed busses and no structure to leaving the event in the slightest. Apart from the trouble there, the experience was great, atmosphere at its finest and the track was amazing.

Great track and racing, shame about the organisation

Track is amazing, definitely recommend visiting Spa Francorchamps, the crowd and atmosphere is incredible. Facilities and organisation however left much to be desired. Firstly the directions from BookF1 were wrong, then when you eventually find the track, things are only signposted when you are within 2km of the track. utterly useless. Toilets and showers at the young village campsite were unusable after 2 days and there was nowhere near enough to cater for the amount of people at the site. As expected, people play loud music and maybe we were just unlucky but it was rubbish bass music. Seems we missed the memo for a bass competition. Overall unfortunately the facilities and organisation overshadowed what was a great weekend track-wise. I recommend you stay in another campsite (although I wouldnt know which was best!)

Never again

It has just confrmed my opinion that F1 is grossly over hyped and hugely overpriced. The veiwing areas for Bronze ticket holders are poor and the conditions are almost on the point of being squalid and to make matters worse the awful traffic management by the authorities meant it took 4 hours to get out of the car park , resulting in a missed chanel crossing .Never again!!!!!

F1 Spa

My son was very excited about the pit walk on Thursday when we arrived at lunch time we were told no entry to circuit before 4PM so thousands of people were kettled for four hours in temperatures of 35c many people around us,many like myself in retirement were calling for medics because of heat stoke, the security staff are guilty of gross negligence, the barriers should have been opened as soon as it became apparent people were having problems with the heat,my advice to anybody seeking it is do not go to the Belgium GP because they could not organize a P**S up in a brewery. This is only part of it,if you want more i will gladly inform you. Great Race - Great Setting

The race was good and action packed which was easy to follow through the big screen in front of the 17-27 stand. The 17-27 area had a great atmosphere and we all had a good time and enjoy it! The only draw back was the limited parking, despite coming with red parking tickets, this is not guaranteed, after queuing we were one of the last cars to be admitted despite many more in the queue with pre-booked tickets - if you prebook parking then a parking space should be quarenteed!

Awful Awful Awful!!!

Hi, I have been to two F1 races in my time as an F1 fan and this weekend just gone at Spa was my second time visiting the the circuit, it will also be my last. I was appalled and shocked at the lack of consideration for fans and the lack of safety measures put it place, it was disgusting to think that fans can be treated in such a manner. Firstly the parking, we parked in the car park at the end of the Kemmel Straight, one single country road in and out and a total of 4 hour to leave the car park on Sunday after the race - disgusting. How can a track with such marvelous history and the size of the complex have one single country road as an entrance and exit and nobody policing the area to make congestion flow better. Consequently as a result of this we missed our train home back to England from the Eurostar and how to wait 3 hours for the next one. Total journey time from Spa to South East London - 9 hours. Secondly is the amount of people that were let into the track and the complete lack of marshals to help control the situations, it took us 2 hours to walk from the top of the Kemmel straight to the bottom of Eau Rouge, how is this acceptable on any level? This was made worse by the fact that people would sit down on the pathway and somebody thought it was a great idea to turn on a hosepipe/sprinkler at the top of the Kemmel straight consequently flooding the area getting everything muddy in its path. Why was there nobody there helping the flow of people and policing the area, its ridiculous and completely breaches all safety regulations. I did not see one marshal except for the ones by ticket entrances/exits. Furthermore if somebody fell ill or had a heart attack for example on how earth could somebody get there quick enough to help them, they wouldn't! My last point would be that food and drink prices take the mick, 3.50 euros for a coke or bottle of water is unacceptable, the token idea that was put in place just rips people off and forces them to spend 20 euros on 6 tokens. I came to Spa this weekend for a friends birthday and I can honestly say it will be my last visit to Spa watching the F1 because of how bad it was run and it proves to me that the organizers of F1 do not care about the fans, they truly don't. Regards a disgruntled F1 fan, Jackson

Wonderful Experience

We had an incredible time at the Belgium GP. We purchased the 17-27 Blanchimont tickets, meaning our own grandstand - where we managed to get front row seats. The atmosphere was electric with guest djs such as Bob Sinclair keeping the crowd going. The circuit is very hilly - you will burn quite a few calories marching up and down it - which is good as the only food on offer really is burger or chips. We had an excellent view of the race, from our corner. We opted to camp in the Green Section - the pitch was fairly big - we fitted two tents in. The walk from the camping to the circuit is under 10 minutes to the Kemmel gates. The campsite was fairly lively, with lots of campers bringing their own DJ Decks, lights, and even a Bucking Bronco. There are showers on site for 3 EUR a go - lovely hot water, and very refreshing. The whole experience was amazing, we had the time of our lives.
