Gold 2 is located on a short straight with views of the La Source hairpin exit to the right and the famous L'Eau Rouge to the left. Also overlooks the GP2 pit garages.

The Belgian F1 GP has been on my bucket-list for many years and we finally got to attend the 2019 race. We stayed in Luxembourg and the drive to and from the Spa track was no problem on any of the three days. The traffic police were directing traffic on all three days and it flowed well. Although we had to walk quite a distance from our car park to our grandstand each day, the crowds were not too bad. The event was well-organised and the grandstand seating (Gold 2 leading up towards Eau Rouge) was good (and well controlled). The view from corner 1 until past Eau Rouge was excellent. My only complaint was that the seats we were allocated were lower down the stand and in the sun during the afternoon. We had read some horror stories about the shortage and condition of toilets, but we found them to be okay and we did not have to queue for long to use them. The price of food and drinks was an issue, but one could thankfully take these into the track. Only alcohol and glass bottled were not allowed to be taken in, which is fair. Anthoine Hubert tragically lost his life during the F2 race on the Saturday and this understandably dampened moods on the Sunday. During the minute of silence on the Sunday Morning and again on the Sunday afternoon, one could have heard a pin drop. It was very sad and emotional. If you are interested in F1, the Belgian F1 GP at Spa Francorchamps is one not to be missed.

Amazing atmosphere all weekend. Loads of great places to watch the track.

Never been to a GP before. Travelled from a B and B some 55 miles away. Got stuck at some bridge and was subjected to a two hour halt to proceedings and watching men piss over the side into the valley below. Having arrived, the race was great...such brace boys. Inside the complex...it was like being at a festival...but exclusively for men....beer swilling...pissng all over the place....actually queued in a stream of piss at one point. Took five hours to escape the field and make the journey home. No stewards. Surely the men putting their lives at risk deserve better than that?

Great weekend at Spa whilst the girls enjoyed Brugges. Transport arrangements excellent
30 Aug 2016
Great time well run and excellent coverage of race.

Steward was as good as Non existent . People constantly smoking. One non smoking sign at entrance to section B. People smoked at will. When steward appeared he was busy taking photo's on his mobile phone.People sitting on steps blocking access / egress, people standing obstructing views. Whoever is responsible for the stewards should be ashamed of themselves.Alcohol is at epidemic proportion add 20 cents to the price of a drink and pay for extra stewards

Weekend was fantastic, booked in plenty time and got excellent covered seats - a must for the heat and rain (although we had non this year). Food is expensive and run by ticket system - we still have loads left - which means money down the drain. An umbrella is a good companion - it was 35 degrees. Toilets are a disgrace. try to cross your legs.

Had an amazing weekend at the F1, The only issue i had was that the only alcholic drink you could get near us was beer, but apart from that everything was fantastic.

Everything went well. The only thing we have to say about that circuit is that there isn't enough toilets. Otherwise it's great !

Gold GP2 stand. The seats were central and had an excellent unobscured view of La Source down to Eau Rouge and the start of the Kemmel Straight. The audio coverage was good and a TV screen opposite the stand provided excellent coverage throughout the weekend.

All I can say for the amount of money they took over the race weekend the conditions were VERY VERY poor 1 x tap with very Low pressure for water to ages to fill up the containers, Cold showers that you had to queue ages for, and motor homes and cars being stuck in the mud and waiting 4 /5 hours to be pulled out by the tractor. The tractor should have been ready when the race finished to help people stuck not arrive at 8 pm POOR service for the thosands of £££££££££ they made in profit

Our view of the first corner was blocked by hospitally area to the right, lots of empty seats in front of us ( 25 -30 plus )in the lower part of the stand and we were right at the back in the last row of seats. It didnt make sense, they were empty the whole 3 days and had far better view than our seats.

The access to the circuit on the Sunday was very slow. 2 hours from the exit of the Motorway. The return was however very easy. The stand seats we had were very basic and had limited view caused by the over track adverts for DHL. Would prefer seats higher up next year or in different place so will book earlier. Would also be nice to find something more healthy to eat than burgers and chips! Still a great track and a great race.

That was the first close encounter with F1 for my friend and me and it was a very good, unique experience, indeed. However, getting to the site by car was a bottle-neck. Add around 1,5 hour to your schedule (that you would spend in traffic jams) if you want to be at the circuit at the hour you have planned to arrive. Spa-Francorchamps is perfectly located in between the hills, in picturesque surroundings. We found our pre-booked parking easily and enjoyed the walk to the site. And there... That was another world, a sort of micro-cosmos with all the fans, the atmosphere, the gadgets to buy and, of course, the cars and the drivers! The race was superb, and the giant screen in front of us pretty helpful to follow the competition. We both enjoyed that day very much and this experience is to be recommended. The thing to improve is perhaps the food you can get on the site - very basic and expensive but, hey, you did not come there to eat, did you? :)

Good all round weekend, parking was sensible walk away and the addition of the pit walk with the weekend tickets was an bonus.

I couldn't have wished for a better seat, front row, amazing. Only downside is the amount of posts/pillars restricting view, not as open as silverstone. It is very steep in parts, fine or me but would be a problem for people with wheelchairs etc. Food was ok, but on race day out of the 3 food outlets in my area 1, their fryer had broke so they closed, the 2nd 1 ran out of food and the 3rd had a queue a mile long!! So i basically lived on belgian waffles all weekend. They charged 6euro for chips which i thought very pricey for the tiny portion. Be advised free porta loos are only for the very brave, other loos charge 70cents but are cleaner, so recommend these. I stayed with Intentsgp and they provided a free shuttle service to the track but after the race we walked back to the campsite as it was quicker than car due to traffic, it took us maybe 30mins. The camping with them was excellent, breckie included and great atmosphere and location excellent, 30mins to circuit and 20 mins in opposite direction to nearest town Stavelot. In all an excellent weekend, cant wait till next year:)

Well this year our seating was superb, track facilities in respect of everything except coffee and food were good BUT the coffee water was not put on early enough and some some of the food stands run out of food with very limited choice. The marshals in the stands also need to man up and sit people down. Paul if I can get the same seats next year I will buy them-PLEASE ADVISE. Toilet facilities were really not up to much!! More cubicles needed as I waited nearly 30 minutes!!

Overall pretty well organised. From what I saw of the camping facilities so glad I had my motorhome 100 kls away and drove there. The one thing that marred what was otherwise an excellent day was exiting the yellow car park. Although only 100 mtrs from the exit we were stationary for 95 minutes. The four police officers standing around the exit made no effort to alleviate the situation and even exacerbated it by not allowing us to exit to the main road which was virtually traffic free. Instead they routed all the cars from the several adjacent car parks up a single track road regardless of where were traveling to.

Good access, easy to park, easy to camp (not too far) and didn't pay the silly £200 a nght charges. We found a campsite for 4EUR p.p very close by. Lots of crime, lots of stolen bikes from backs of cars and break-ins.

Second time @ Spa. First time in this particular stand as our first choice of stand had sold out early. Can see why. As the seats are allocated for you which I don't necessarily agree with it would have not been our choice. These are top price seats and it was never mentioned that you are unable to sit in this area without sound barrier earphones on priced @ 35eurs per pair. On qualifying day you were not permitted to drive and park in the town where you get to soak up the atmosphere of Spa apparantly due to locals complaining? We were heralded 10 miles out of town in a field and still charged 10eurs for the pleasure. Last year we could drive into town which we tryed to explain to the policeman. Don't think because of this review we are new to motor racing as we are not. Just this time around not as much fun.
