It all worked

Booking anything on line from Australia is ( unnecessarily) worrying. Bought our F1 tickets through Book F1 and everything just worked Seats were second top row , view was terrific and all that was missing was for Daniel Ricciardo to do well. Next time !!!Thanks BookF1... Peter

Excellent Seat

I couldn’t buy a ticket from Spain so my son bought it in Australia for me and emailed it. The customer team at Bookf1 we’re most helpful. I have been to almost every D1 race in Australia plus the Canadian F1 and the Barcelona F1 was the best from a spectator point of view. I was in Stand E, row 19 seat 7

Another good Barcelona race weekend

Barcelona is always a fun race weekend, but this is largely because Barcelona is such a great city and the weather was perfect. The race itself was not that exciting - as is often the case in Barcelona, but with a full suite of support races there was still plenty to watch. It remains a pity that this venue remains without an alcohol licence. I was driving to the event, so moderation was in order, but a beer with lunch is always nice. The other key criticism is the sound system in stand E which was basically non existent. Stand E is one of the premium stands, so one would expect better - in fact one would expect to be able to listen to the commentary wherever one is on the circuit. The absence of WiFi also puts them behind other circuits. Finally they also missed an opportunity with the historic F1 cars - great to see them, but there was no information at all about the cars, their history, who drove them, so it was all a bit pointless to be honest.

Beautiful city, good race, decent facilities

This was my 5th time to the Barcelona GP and it is one of my favourites. In large part because Barcelona is such a beautiful city, but also it is a good track, with great views (where we were), it is spacious so even though it is well attended it doesn't feel too cramped like Hockenheim or Budapest for example. The parking is well organised, and although the security checks were not very well organised, generally the organisation is good. The lack of alcohol is not a huge problem, since I was driving but it would be nice to have a cold one at lunchtime, so I hope they sort that out soon - all seems a bit silly.

Very pricey but genuine tickets.

Had fun time received tickets by email, want sure if required to be printed out but did it anyway, , wanted main stand but as a late buyer it was unavailable so took seats nearer turn one of Spanish gp, the stands were all dirty and cobwebbed! food ok bought parking also with the directions sadly poor on documentation, ,but if your a real petroleum head all these minor details are irrelevant it was fantastic just go, although we would choose general admission next time for value.

Great experience

All very well organized. Sagales buses are a cheap efficient way to get to/from the race. Excellent time had by all in our party... and Lewis won :)

Excellent Service - Shame About the Race

Just returned from the 2018 Spanish Grand Prix. What to say?? Well the event, the organisation and BookF1.com were great, the race , however was a bit dull but Lewis won so "woo hoo" :-)))). So, apart from the race:- BookF1.com were great. I booked 2 tickets pretty late in the day (within 10 days or so of the race) and I was worried about the turn round time so phoned BookF1 and the really helpful Maria talked me through everything and then sent me a really helpful email with all my options. As we were only going for raceday we booked tickets in Block E (the 1 day ticket block). It's really great there - you get an amazing view of the cars at full speed heading to the breaking zone of turn 1. You can then watch them head up the hill to the next turns before they disappear out of sight for a few seconds before you get another excellent view of the cars re-appearing and heading round, down and up the hill and turning away to the far side of the track. As well as this you get a good view of the pit-lane exit. There is also a giant screen showing the TV coverage right opposite the stand. Underneath the stand there is a purpose built toilet block and vendors selling snacks and soft drinks. Now, talking of drinks - as you will be aware the Spanish grand Prix is Alcohol free :-((((. However, this alcohol ban is only in place once you've gone through the turnstiles into the track area proper. There are a number of vendors selling booze outside the entrance gates and if you are heading for Stand E then you will enter via entrance 4 where you will find a huge food and drink concession selling beers, wines and the most enormous free pour gin and tonics/ vodka and oranges etc. They are 90% spirit 10% mixer - so beware; they will however set you back 15 euro a piece. Beer is about 5 euros. This is a lively and good place to make new friends however there was only 1 single portaloo here and the queue was pretty immense at times. If you can't go through a 2 hour race without some alcohol then I have to say that it would be pretty easy to take some in. The security at the turnstiles take the most cursory of glances into you bag and as long as they don't see something like a bottle of vodka then you are through. If you do get caught they simply confiscate your contraband and let you in. To be honest we took a 2 litre bottle of orange juice that was a mix of vodka and orange and they didn't bat an eyelid. The Brits sitting next to us got 9 cans of beer in ;-0. Also, you can go in and out of the circuit if you want to pop back to the big bar outside between races. Anyway, back to BookF1. Our pack arrived within plenty of time and it was full of information like race times, circuit maps, circuit tickets and bus tickets. So, talking of the buses - I have nothing but good things to say. The bus journey from the Barcelona North bus station (in the middle of the city) to the track is pretty much 30 minutes. We got a bus at about 11.45am and we didn't have to wait more than 2 minutes to get on board. They lay on HUNDREDS of buses (are you listening Silverstone???). After the race we shot of pretty sharpish and the queues weren't too bad, however the barriers that they had put up looked like they were expecting a few thousand in the queues but as I have said there were HUNDREDS of buses waiting to pick people up. I am pleased to tell you that from Lewis driving past us on his victory lap to us being back in the middle of Barcelona with a beer in hand cannot have been more than an hour. Amazing organisation. So, I think that's it. BookF1.com - excellent. Barcelona buses - estupendo and Block E a great place for speed and a number of turns. Hope that helps.

Great Grand Prix

Loved the Spanish Grand Prix. My previous F1 was Singapore last September and this was a totally different experience, more about the racing. We were seated at the top of stand E and I can highly recommend this, as well as seeing all the action at the first corner we had excellent views of the whole circuit.

sat and sun race weekend

absolutely excellent the view from the main straight stands is superb, with a large tv screen opposite.not so packed on the saturday.sunday we were on the grass banks, make sure you bring something to sit on, banks are steep and uneven although not an issue unless you want to go to the toilet fighting your way through the tightly packed crowd can be intersting! weather can be up and down with clouds coming across the mountains and possible rain.but overall i would totally recommend.

Spain

The ticket was a great price for the Friday. The location for me was ideal seeing the cars into turns 1,2,3 then 6 and 7. So I saw plenty of cars on track. I would of liked a coach service on the Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday.

Great experience

We sat on sector E. View was great. We did not need earplugs. It is not so noisy. An atmosphere is great. We are just disappointed about service outside in an area you could but food or drink. We were charged 15 euro for chips and hot dog when some Spanish person behind us was charged for exactly this same 10 euro. We heard that and ask a slug who was charging us about it. She hasn't got much to say as all people around call her a racist. Gustless.

An Excellent Experience

The ticket purchasing system was smooth and easy to complete. I phoned with a query after making my booking and the person I spoke to was very helpful and reassuring. Their communications and the information received were thorough and made our trip to the Barcelona F1 Grand Prix Catalunya circuit straight forward. We walked through Montmelo where water and food was widely available and at very reasonable prices. Some of the shops had their wares on display outside. We bought two garden chair seat pads for 2.45 euros each which made the seating in the stand more comfortable. The choice of seats available from the ticket company was also good. We chose to be right on the 100m braking point into the first corner. Watching the cars approach at 200mph and drop speed dramatically was very impressive. Most of the interesting manoeuvres and incidents happened near us too so we saw them all. However, take some earplugs because the Porsche race sent me scurrying to buy some. Most stalls had sold out but I got some eventually from the Mercedes merchandise stand in a fancy box for 20 euros a pair! The circuit sold only Heineken 00 (alcohol free beer) and it was surprisingly good and refreshing. It opened my mind about alcohol free beer - so well done the organisers. A really great day out.

Very Good Experience.

Very good experience, the whole set up was very well organised and easy to get to via bus . Direct from Barcelona bus station around 35-40 minutes. First race and was excellent, sat in Stand E which is right at the first corner and most of the action happened here including most of the takeovers (Hamilton overtook Vettel to win the race here). Few fallbacks which should be considered ; 1. Food in the place at the stalls was very average and fairly expensive. 2. The queue after for the bus was very long around 4 blocks - there was no one (that we could see) actually organising the queues and a lot of people were confused if the queues were for lloret de mar or Barcelona buses. I would suggest that for the stands in future give people a seaignated queue this way the queues are organised and look less busy ! Apart from that the F1 was excellent. Thoroughly recommend it. The weather was good too which probably made it even better. Thanks

Great Experience

We booked last August for this event and the booking process was very easy, tickets arrived well before the event and we were in Stand E which is just before the first corner, opposite a set of screens. Really good spot as we could see the cars from the start right round the first 3 corners and then along before going up the hill. The venue was extremely well organised. We stayed in Barcelona and prebooked the coach from the Estation Del Noord which was a very good move and although there was a very long queue after the race it really didn't take long to get the coach back. Would love to do it again somtime. Only downside was we stayed in Barcelona which was disappointing, its not a patch on Madrid it was grubby and very overrated.

Great experience

Had a great day at the Grand Prix. Tickets arrived well in advance. Seats were just where we wanted them in Stand E. The stand's not covered so it was bloody hot, but we had a great view of the end of the straight and pit lane exit where all the overtaking occurs, plus the next few bends. And we had tv screens opposite so we knew what was going on. Took our own food and water in. Took small water bottles but they didn't really check on the gate anyway. Got the bus there and back. Had to queue for about 25 mins for the bus leaving but the queue moved pretty quickly so wasn't too painful. They must have had every bus in the province there! Would definitely go again and book through bookf1.

Excellent organisation, tickets, access, view, facilities

I could only attend on the Sunday due to other commitments. The organisation and booking of tickets was excellent with everything including bus tickets arriving by courier in good time. I had read quite a few negative reviews about buses etc and was a tad worried. I needn't have. The buses from Estacion del Nord were plentiful and we boarded as quickly as the people could get aboard. Pleasant journey to the circuit were everything went swimmingly. No rip of prices for food etc. Toilet facilities excellent. View great. Exit from the circuit was easy. The buses were waiting and they loaded four buses at at a time meaning there was no waiting. We were loaded and gone within five minutes. A great day. Well done to all. Highly recommended.

My first F1 race.

Stand E was perfect for watching the race action, not only at the first corner but also corners 6, 7, 8 and into turn 9. Great to see the action on the first lap as well! The cars were at top speed passing as well. There were tow tv screens directly across the track, which were useful for keeping track of position and to see the crowd etc. Transport was amazingly well organised. No queues, no waiting and everything went like clockwork. I cannot imagine any UK event having such well managed transport!
